Strengthening Human Capabilities
Description
In an era defined by pervasive volatility and technological acceleration, traditional workforce planning based on stable assumptions is no longer viable. This peer learning forum examines the strategic mandate to shift from predicting the future to preparing for many possible futures by doubling down on enduring human capabilities. Participants will analyze how adaptability, collaboration, and emotional intelligence (EQ) function as durable competencies that mitigate enterprise risk and drive extraordinary financial returns—with research indicating EQ training can yield a return on investment (ROI) of up to 1484%. The session positions critical conversation as the essential engine for activating these capabilities, transforming individual talent into shared psychological safety and measurable performance gains.
Featured Spotlight: Lisa Briquelet, Plant Manager, Latitude Corp.
Lisa brings more than 20 years of manufacturing and supply chain leadership to this conversation, including senior roles at Thermo Fisher Scientific and LGC Biosearch Technologies, where she led operations, lean process improvement, and large production teams through periods of significant change. Now leading a Verona, Wisconsin plant, Lisa will share what she has learned about building adaptable, collaborative teams on the ground — and why durable human capabilities like problem-solving and emotional intelligence matter as much on the plant floor as they do in the boardroom.
Featured Spotlight: Alanna Beebe, Founder, Audacious Leadership
Alanna brings 20 years of teaching and coaching to this conversation, grounded in social neuroscience and Adlerian psychology, the study of how people thrive in relationships. She is also founder and Managing Director of Sproutable, where she teaches Positive Discipline to parents and teachers. Her earlier work spans public health, early childhood, and equity and social justice. A Co-Active–trained coach, Alanna now helps leaders and managers build teams that take ownership and solve their own problems. She will share five things emotionally intelligent leaders do differently, and why emotional intelligence is less about feelings and more about influence, from the plant floor to the executive suite.
